About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Operator to support safe, reliable and efficient oil and gas production operations across offshore and other operational locations.

The role will involve operating and monitoring wells, separators, vessels, pumps, compressors, utilities and associated production systems, while maintaining process safety, production efficiency and operational integrity.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on production operations experience and the ability to monitor process conditions, identify abnormalities, carry out first-line troubleshooting and respond appropriately to operational situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor wells, separators, vessels, pumps, compressors, utilities and associated production systems.
  • Perform production system start-ups, shutdowns, line-ups, isolations and routine process surveillance in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Monitor process parameters and equipment conditions, identify abnormalities and take authorised corrective action.
  • Conduct routine field rounds and inspections to verify equipment condition and process stability.
  • Carry out production sampling and basic operational checks as required.
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting and escalate equipment or process abnormalities appropriately.
  • Support Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), isolation and Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) activities.
  • Support maintenance activities through effective equipment handover, isolation verification and reinstatement.
  • Maintain accurate production logs, operational records and shift handover information.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and maintain readiness for operational emergencies.
  • Support production optimisation activities and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and ensure production areas remain safe and orderly.
  • Communicate process and equipment conditions clearly during shift handovers and operational meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Production Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, with strong upstream Exploration & Production (E&P) exposure.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in production operations within offshore or comparable upstream facilities.
  • Practical experience operating and monitoring process equipment, production systems and utilities.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, operating procedures, equipment isolation and process safety.
  • Valid BOSIET/HUET, offshore medical and H₂S certification where offshore deployment applies.
  • Good working knowledge of HSE requirements, operational controls, procedures and technical documentation.

  • Follow approved operating procedures for start-up, shutdown, isolation, reinstatement and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Stop or escalate unsafe work and promptly report incidents, near misses, equipment defects, leaks and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, pre-job meetings, safety observations and relevant risk assessments.
  • Maintain required offshore medical, safety and professional certifications throughout the assignment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions within production and operational areas.
  • Ensure activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements and approved company standards.
