SENIOR PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIST
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Technologist to provide production technology expertise across well performance, completion optimisation and production enhancement activities within upstream oil and gas operations.
The role will focus on diagnosing well and production performance, evaluating artificial lift and well intervention opportunities, supporting completion and production optimisation activities, and integrating well, reservoir and facility considerations into practical production strategies.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong production technology expertise, sound technical judgement and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams to improve well and asset performance safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production technology support for well performance, completion optimisation and production enhancement initiatives.
- Perform nodal analysis, well modelling, production diagnostics and performance evaluations.
- Evaluate artificial lift systems and recommend optimisation opportunities based on well and operating conditions.
- Identify, evaluate and mature well intervention, stimulation, debottlenecking and production optimisation opportunities.
- Support completion design, completion optimisation and well intervention planning.
- Contribute to well integrity management and production surveillance programmes.
- Integrate well, reservoir and facility constraints into production forecasts and optimisation plans.
- Analyse production trends and identify opportunities to improve well deliverability and recovery.
- Provide technical input into production enhancement studies, well reviews and field optimisation initiatives.
- Support flow assurance assessments and identify potential production risks associated with operating conditions.
- Provide technical assurance for production technology activities and recommendations.
- Prepare technical reports, studies and presentations for management and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior production technology personnel.
- Participate in multidisciplinary reviews and contribute to the resolution of well and production performance challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, with strong upstream Exploration & Production (E&P) exposure.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in production technology, well performance analysis, completion optimisation and production enhancement.
- Practical experience in nodal analysis, well modelling, artificial lift and production diagnostics.
- Experience supporting well intervention, stimulation and production optimisation programmes.
- Strong understanding of well performance, completion systems, production operations and related technical constraints.
- Good knowledge of applicable HSE requirements, operational controls, procedures and technical documentation.
- Membership of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) or relevant professional engineering body is desirable.

- Ensure production technology activities are conducted in accordance with approved technical standards, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
